At Bowman Hollis Manufacturing, Inc., we supply virtually any type of belt available to customers in a wide range of industries. General belting applications include basic material handling, warehouse distribution, industrial bakery applications, and refrigerated warehouse transfer. Our history in the industry dates back over 100 years and all products are guaranteed to perform as indicated. We can also assist customers in selecting new designs or material to solve issues they are having with their current belts. Selecting the right design and material can extend belt life, minimize faults, and save money over the life of the part.

We carry conveyor belts, power transmission belts, printer tapes, and timing belts, just to name a few. Belt material options are equally varied and include structured rubber, leather, nylon, stainless steel, and Teflon. Splicing may be accomplished using a finger joint, skiving, or an overlap seam. The optimal method, based on belt type and material, will be chosen to provide a durable seam that can withstand the specified operating environment.

In addition to belts, our product line includes belting tools, textile aprons, hoses, tubing, and pneumatic components. Most products can be delivered in 3 to 5 days, with rush services available to minimize downtime in emergency situations. At Bowman Hollis, we employ three crews of experienced technicians to provide efficient on-site installation of industrial belts and associated accessories. Our customer base is very diverse and includes the automotive, food processing, distribution, and converting industries throughout the Southeastern US. We sell standard and custom conveyor, baking, material handling, and power transmission belts up to 118” in width. Our ability to build custom products to print allows us to seamlessly integrate belts into existing equipment, providing customers with the ability to optimize their processing and distribution operations without the limitations of off the shelf components.

We supply belts in multiple types and materials including cleated, low-profile, modular, roller chain, and welded belts constructed of metals, rubber, and plastics. Only products from trusted manufacturers such as Habasit, Esbelt, and Taconic are used. We have over 100 years’ of combined experience in the fabrication, distribution, and installation of industrial belt products and associated equipment components. Lead times average 3 to 5 days, but rush orders can be given priority as needed. We offer much more than just belting. The best belt in the world will not perform to its potential unless it is handled properly. In many cases, customers have to install and track their belts themselves. Failure to do this properly means you won’t get the belt life you are paying for.

That’s where our training comes in! We offer hands on training for all types of belt splicing and lacing. Our knowledgeable technicians can quickly train your maintenance staff, either in your plant or in our shop. In addition, we offer a variety of publications in electronic format, covering every aspect of belt selection and use.

Capability

In addition to supplying the largest selection of stock belting products in the industry, at Bowman Hollis, we offer custom belt design services for specialty applications. Services include engineering support and build to print fabrication of conveyor, food processing, power transmission, and many other types of belts up to 118” in width. Belt designs include cleated, low-profile, roller chain, and welded endless. Customers may provide designs in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or PDF formats for optimal compatibility with our internal design and manufacturing systems.

Only material from industry leading suppliers such as Habasit, Nitta, and Esbelt are used to create custom belting products and custom belts can be tested and balanced to customer specifications. Additional services include assembly, on-site installation, and system integration to ensure that customers’ new belts perform as expected.

We have a 50 year history in the industry and over 100 years’ of combined experience in providing customers with premium quality belts and industrial components. Most belts can be completed in 3 to 5 days, with expedited service available as needed. Maintenance Analysis

Maintenance Analysis

We pride ourselves on our in-depth knowledge of all things belting. Since we like to put that knowledge to work for our customers, we have introduced BMAP – Belting Maintenance Analysis Program. Any plant with a large number of belts operating would benefit from this service.

The program can be tailored to your specific needs, but a large plywood manufacturer in middle Georgia is having us come in once a month, survey all the belts, and identify any issue that may cause belt problems. We address splicing issues, belt tracking problems, motor and gearbox concerns that may impact belts, etc. We furnish a monthly report, with our recommendations as to how to solve each issue. Periodically, we furnish a compilation of total belt related costs, and can monitor performance improvements.

At Bowman Hollis, we maintain an in-house machine shop to fabricate custom conveyor rollers, shafts, and other industrial equipment components. Machining capabilities include milling, turning, drilling, tapping and welding of metal, plastic, and fiberglass components up to 110” in length. For replacement parts, we can reverse engineer components using the existing part when a print is not available. If needed, parts can be drawn in a CAD program for future reference and customer records.

We have been in business for over 50 years and have some of the most knowledgeable and experienced engineers, customer service staff, and technicians anywhere. Customers in a wide array of industries including the automotive, food processing, converting, and distribution sectors have come to rely on us for all over their industrial belting and accessory needs. Lead times average 3 to 5 days with rush services available to accommodate emergency situations as needed.
